Pasquale Joseph Ladiana
July 10, 1965 – July 18, 2025
Pasquale Joseph Ladiana, lovingly known as PJ, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2025, at the age of 60 at his home in Angola, NY. He was surrounded by love and comfort, cared for with devotion by his beloved wife, Juthamad, during his long illness.
Born and raised on Staten Island, PJ was named in honor of his grandfathers and was the cherished youngest child—and only son—of eight children born to Rita and Anthony Ladiana. With seven older sisters and a house full of energy, PJ enjoyed a childhood full of adventure, curiosity, and laughter. Whether exploring the outdoors or getting into light-hearted mischief, he made lifelong memories with his siblings and was deeply loved by his family.
From a young age, PJ displayed an extraordinary talent for building and design. He could wield a hammer with precision and transform raw materials into something both functional and beautiful. This innate ability blossomed into a lifelong career as a self-employed master craftsman and construction professional. His work, particularly in restoration, was known for its quality and care—an extension of the pride he took in his craft.
Standing 6’4” tall and strong, his father fondly nicknamed him “The Bull”—a tribute to his physical presence, strength, and unwavering spirit. Beyond his work, PJ loved to travel, was a passionate cook and true foodie, always exploring new recipes and international cuisines. He had a knack for storytelling and sharing, often blogging about his culinary experiences and life reflections with a loyal group of followers.
PJ will be remembered not only for his skills and talents, but for his incredible intelligence, generous heart, warm humor, and the deep love he had for his family and friends. Always willing to lend a helping hand, he had a quiet strength and a caring soul that left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Anthony and Rita Ladiana; his sister Mary; and his brothers-in-law Deniz and Thomas.
PJ is survived by his devoted wife of 21 years, Juthamad; his daughter, Jessica; and his grandson, Nikolas, who brought him great joy. He also leaves behind six sisters: Anthonette, Marcia, Rebecca, Bernadette, Stephanie, and Christina; and brothers-in-law: Errol, Terrence, Melvin, Sergio, and Ulf. His memory will be lovingly carried forward by his fourteen nieces and nephews, five grand-nieces and grand-nephews, many cousins, and a wide circle of friends.
He also leaves behind his cherished pets—beagles Brandy and Fanny, and cats Daisy, Remi, and Rami—who were beloved companions and a great comfort during his final years.
PJ’s life was one of creativity, resilience, and love—and his legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ten Lives Club, a cause close to PJ’s heart.
