Debra, So sorry to learn of Ros's passing. We had a working relationship at Buffalo State when he was part of Lifelong Learning and I was in Instructional Resources. Great chats on every visit I made to his office. Simply put, Ros was a class act. How ironic he spent many of his last days in the hospital named after his great-grandfather. God bless..

To Ros’s wife, Debra, & family: From Donna Jordan Dusel, (and, my husband Robert). As I, and my former classmates are in the process of planning our 50th High School reunion from Iroquois Central School in Elma, NY, we are remembering not only those who graduated with us, but, also, those students who spent time as part of our class, but, graduated from other schools. Ros is one of our former classmates who we fondly remember. (Unfortunately, Ros left Iroquois and finished his High School education Nichols.) I remember dancing with Ros at our 9th grade Valentine’s dance, somewhere around 1965, what a sweet guy he was then. When I saw that Ros had passed away, I e-mailed our reunion committee and all who are on our class list, I received several e-mails from former classmates who, like me, remembered Ros and what a ‘great guy’ he was. A couple of the guys from our class remembered ‘hanging out’ with him. I also taught photography for 36 years, ending the last six years of my teaching career at Buffalo State. A few times, I found myself at meetings with Ros. All the students and professors at Buffalo State really thought a lot of Ros. At one of the meetings, I planned to tell him about the ‘buffalo’ I had made fort the “Herd About Buffalo” project in 2000; I also planned to ask him IF?he remembered the short time he was at Iroquois and the Valentine’s dance, but, I thought that I would look foolish if I did. I think that I’ll always regret not asking him about that - moral of the story--- IF you find yourself in a situation with friends/colleagues from your past-- SAY something-- why not?... It could be fun... Knowing how Ros, even after several decades, seemed so easy-going, I should have asked him. I'm currently on the Roswell Park Art Alliance committee, and, Ros' death, though very sad, really brought back memories of happier times. Please stay SAFE-- and, wear those masks. We wish you all GOOD HEALTH, and sometime in the near future, we will all celebrate the Class of '70, and we will remember Ros, along with those classmates who are no longer with us!...
